Bob Scott's New 9-'0"

Part of the fun of getting a new board is that initial wax up.

Remember when you were a grom how excited you were to wax the board, and, how fast you were able to wax it and get in the water?

Nowadays, that initial wax job takes just a bit longer..............Is it because we are gettin older or because our boards are getting longer?! Maybe I should have got a 5'-10" fish?

After a few cups of coffee and a few liters of water, Bob, and the rest of us rejoiced.  Bob is shown here celebrating his conquest. Yes!!

Afterwards, una siesta was in order.  "Heck, its blown out anyway." Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Gimme Five

Up High...... Down Low....

Check out the newest board in Rob Tracy's quiver. It's a 7'-6" double-wing, swallowtail quad with a sweet airbrush job. He also had his family members hand imprints glassed in on the bottom of the board. Brilliant idea - It's a Family Affair! Here's Rob's note to Dennis:

Dennis, I just wanted to say thanks again for the new board, it's awesome! You were right, it paddles great and really sticks the turns like a dream! It was a chance meeting (don't you think?) and I sure am grateful to have made your acquaintance. Also, thanks for allowing us to come and watch you in action when you shaped the board... the girls were blown away and I know they are looking forward to having you shape them their own boards! As for me, I'll be enjoying the fish and looking forward to talking to you about a Regulator in the future!

Dennis, Board #15,129 and another happy surfer/friend.

Murphy Lands Super Model Ronan Scott

Anyone who has ever met Ronan can agree he should be a model. He is athletic and has that tall dark and handsome thing going for him. Well, this week he got the chance to work it for the Murphy crew. At his first ever photo shoot, Ronan was a star indeed. We expect his career to take off.

Ice 9 Murphy Fat Balsa Stringer Fish Blank

Another project Dennis has been working on is the Ice 9 fat balsa stringer fish blank.  He ordered his foam from the guys at Ice 9 unglued and then he and Dan made up a chambered balsa and 100 year old reclaimed redwood stringer for the center. Last we talked he was still figuring out the board to be built out of it but word is it will be a 5'10" double wing quad. Any takers? This one will be special. If you contact him now he can make anything from a 6'2" and shorter.

Latest Project - Reclaimed Redwood and Balsa 9'6"

Since the Anything But 3 event Dennis has ben working on a new project.  A chambered balsa and 100 year old reclaimed redwood 9'6".  The board is beautiful and light.  You'd be surprised at how light these boards are.  It needs to be fine sanded and glassed and then it is up for sale. If you have interest let it be known now as it won't last long.
