The Involvement Dream from Nathan Oldfield on Vimeo.
Hello friends, I've just released a short film I made for Patagonia called
'The Involvement Dream.'

Local photographer Aaron Goulding (JAG Media Productions) caught JP in action last month here at a San Diego reef - doing it's mini-impersonation of cold, small Pipeline. JP had snapped his new 9'-0" earlier this day and went back out on his new 7'-11". Ah....the sweet smell of redemption. Nice work guys.//cm
May Gray brings June Gloom. Not too much excitement yet, but every once in awhile, the sun will actually make an appearance - and give us a glimmer of hope with warmer water and Souths.

Got this shot and note from Aaron Goulding, local photog. "Here's a shot of JP smacking the lip. This is one dude that you don't want to get smacked by."
While the debate about Sasquatch and Bigfoot go on, there is no doubt that cave men dwell in coastal San Diego. Sent to us from our good friend Aaron Goulding: Hi Denni. Here's a few of the caveman cave dwelling. Enjoy! All the best! - Aaron
That's what Aaron Goulding wrote to J.P. when he sent along these photos. I wish "that day" would come again, and soon. It's still FLAT here in San Diego with otherwise good surfing conditions (light wind, sun, etc.) I'm always amazed, and a bit dumb founded, as how the Pacific Ocean has this fetch of Thousands of miles and does not generate a thigh-high wave to ride. Hopefully this post will change that!
From time to time we get shots of team riders from local photographer Aaron Goulding/JAG Media Productions. His images are usually pretty unique and capture some incredible views and angles. This one is sweet. Thanks Aaron.
Nice smackage of one La Jolla lip under the August sun. That's a lot of board poppin out the back of the wave while the fins are just holding in. I like what's going on in this photo. Jean-Paul punching the clock for the afternoon shift. photo: Goulding
