Some shots taken early last week here in San Diego prior to all this junky, pissn-me-off wind. Hey Coastal Eddy, just go away! photo: Lance Smith rider: Japers
Our friend Erik Baldwin called me up about a week and a half ago and he spoke about a vision and concept he had. It centered on a board design he had been thinking about and was stuck deep in his cerebellum. He has worked with us in the past, ridden some of our shapes, given us valuable feedback and is incredibly knowledgeable about the nuances of surfboard design and the dynamics of water flow. Dude is Renaissance Man mixed with surfing McGyver. Plus he rips and is sponsored by a host of local companies..... so.....no brainer....we said "Come on down!". Here's a few shots of Dennis and Erik working on a collaborative vision. The template was made, blank rough shaped and kinks worked out. Looking forward to seeing the finished board glassed and finned. Stay tuned.
New 8'-0" Mini Comp shaped for our pal Bob Allen. As we read this, Bob is down in Mainland setting a Sinaloa "Point" on fire! Ten un buen viaje Roberto.
A couple of shots of Jeff Werbelow's nine-oh. Jeff, a So Cal native, currently lives in Park City, Utah - after a nice, long stint in Haleiwa. His quiver is quite impressive - so we hope to get a photo and index soon.
is a favorite saying of a friend of ours when he is out in the water and hitting all his bottom turns and setting it on rail. Here's JP with his interpretation of putting it on axis. photo: Goulding
